The Sac De Jour was designed in 2013 by then creative director Hedi Slimane. During his tenure Slimane changed Saint Laurent more than any other creative director. Not only did he update the brand’s style appealing for a younger clientele but he also changed the brand’s name from Yves Saint Laurent to Saint Laurent Paris.
The Sac De Jour or bag of the day was inspired by the Hermès Birkin and is one of those bags that will never go out of style. It is a bag that appeals to old money and classic aesthetics. The bag does not have flashy logos, only a small Saint Laurent Paris marking near the top. It has a briefcase inspired silhouette that is very chic!

The Sac de Jour is $1,000 less and the Galleria, and with so many similarities between them, that is a big difference. This Saint Laurent bag is timeless, elegant and refined, is a bag you would love all your life!
