The Most Amazing Bags from Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 25

Welcome to our post about The Most Amazing Bags from Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 25!

During fashion week the most amazing Italian brands showcase their new collections, and for next season you can expect the absolute best! Here you will se the best bags for spring summer 25 from brands like Prada and Bottega Veneta, I’m sure you will love them.

So, without further ado here are The Most Amazing Bags from Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 25:

Gucci

Sabato De Sarno took inspiration on Jackie O for his spring 25 collection, specially her Capri era and the jet-set style of the ’60s. The collection was about a casual grandeur, an everyday glamour perfectly encapsulated in the co-ord sets, summer hats and elegant dresses. If you want to feel like Jackie summering on the coast of Italy, this is the collection for you.

The Gucci Bamboo bag was the stand-out piece of the collection, there were versions customized by Japanese artists celebrating the 60-year history of the bag in Japan. A new bucket bag was showed embellished with the iconic horsebit and a shoulder strap. Of course the Jackie bag, a Kennedy favorite, was showed in many different iterations. A bag with the GG logo appeared in different colors, as did many clutch bags.

This collection was in my opinion one of the best from the designer, it was cohesive, glamorous, stylish and fun. What else could I ask for?

Bottega Veneta

For his spring 25 collection, designer Matthieu Blazy was inspired by childhood: it’s almost like primal fashion, your first experience of fashion when you try your parents’ clothes,” he said. Oversized pieces played with the idea of a kid playing dress up, while frog brooches added a fun touch to the elegant collection. Wigs and other colorful touches lended a playful aesthetic to the sophisticated collection, not something we usually expect from the brand.

The new Liberta bag was showed in a few different iterations, in somber materials. There were many playful and colorful bags that really light up any look, with flowers and fringes. The Andiamo was presented both in tote and clutch versions, some classic looking and others whimsical and unique.

In my opinion this was a great way of bringing the wow factor to the established brand without losing its core.

Ferragamo

For his spring summer 25 collection, designer Maximilian Davis was inspired by Salvatore Ferragamo’s work with ballet dancers. The inspiration was apparent in leggings, bodies, wrapped ballet cardigans and of course in the shoes inspired by ballet pointe shoes. There were also trench coats and beautiful dresses that I’m sure ballerinas would love to wear on their night out.

The Hug bag continues to be the highlight of the brand’s bag offerings, this season presented in many sizes and colors. A new drawstring pouch similar to the Loêwe Flamenco was showed. There were many tote bags and a beautiful leather bucket bag with cut-outs.

The collection was beautiful and fun, all with the elegance and timelessness we expect from Ferragamo.

Versace

Inspired by the Spring 97 Versus collection, which was Versace’s diffusion line, Donatella Versace presented her Spring 25 show. Donatella explained that ’90s there was freedom, happiness, not too much thinking, and being more casual about putting your clothes together. With many prints, slip dresses, shorts and some sequins, this collection was young and fun, just what we expect from Versace.

The brand showed some 90’s inspired shoulder bags with Versace stamped on the front. Some tote bags with the iconic Medusa head made the rounds, as did crossbody bags in fun colors.

The collection was a revival of 90’s Versace that is bound to be super popular next Spring.

Prada

Instead of the usual ten or two inspirations, for their spring summer collection, designers Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons were inspired by a hundred different things, or maybe nothing at all. In juxtaposition to quiet luxury blandness, as a Vogue writer called it, and the sameness we see in social media, this collection showed so many new and unique pieces for the Prada woman to express her individuality. The collection wasn’t cohesive or easy to understand, but rather a mash-up of different pieces as a critique to internet algorithms that choose what we see and wear.

As for the bags we saw many belted bucket bags as perhaps a newer iteration of the popular Prada Buckle bag. Many different shoulder bags were presented in different shapes and colors, all with a distinct Prada look. East-west bags are also showed, as were some classy top handle style bags.

At first glance this collection was chaotic and confusing, but I have to say I love the idea behind it. I love the fact that this is new and unique, unlike what we see in social media.

Fendi

For his spring summer collection, creative director Kim Jones collaborated with the four generations of Fendi women who shaped the brand’s history over the last one hundred years. The collection was inspired by the century of Fendi’s archives but specially the 1920’s and the 1990’s. The color palette and the fabrics kept the collection cohesive, it was elegant, modern and feminine, it exude Fendi’s DNA.

As for the bags Silvia Venturini Fendi celebrated house icons. The Fendi baguette was presented as a drawstring pouch in many colors, materials and embellishments. Fendi Peekaboo was updated with fringes, materials and prints. The Simply Fendi bag, first presented a few seasons ago also made the rounds.

A new bag that from the sides looks like a croissant was presented, enriching this beautiful collection that was an ode to the past but modern at the same time.
