Welcome to our list of the Top 10 Quiet Luxury Bags!
When it comes to luxury there are basically two types of brands, the loud and the quiet ones. We all know the loud ones; they are always on your face with big logos and marketing campaigns, like Louis Vuitton and Gucci for example. We love them, but if you believe that less is more then you are definitely a fan of quiet luxury.
Quiet luxury brands offer products with subtle or no markings. Quiet luxury is not centered around the logo, or showing off wealth and status, instead, it’s all about the beauty, quality, and craftsmanship of the product. Here I’ll show you 10 bags that perfectly represent quiet luxury, I’m sure you will love them!
So, without further ado here are the Top 10 Quiet Luxury Bags:
1. Hermès Kelly
This bag is number one because since 1935 it has been a favorite of chic minimalist women like Grace Kelly and Carolyn Bessette- Kennedy. Émile-Maurice Hermès is the creative mind behind the ‘Sac à dépêches’, which was produced in 1935 for his wife to carry. The bag would go on to achieve worldwide recognition 20 years later, when in 1956 Princess Grace Kelly used her ‘Sac à dépêches’ to shield her baby bump from the paparazzi. After that Hermès received so many requests for ‘The Kelly Bag’, as it became immediately known, that it was renamed in honor of the princess.
And the fact that this bag is not so known as the Birkin in pop culture make it the perfect quiet luxury bag!
2. Celine Box Bag
The old Celine, that was headed by the queen of minimalism Phoebe Phillo was a quiet luxury brand, now with Hedi Slimane not so much, but the Box is still reminiscent of that time! The most classic of all Saint Laurent bags the Sac De Jour was designed in 2013 by then creative director Hedi Slimane. Representative of this era the Sac De Jour or bag of the day was inspired by the Hermès Birkin and is one of those bags that will never go out of style. This bag also does not have flashy logos, only a small Saint Laurent Paris marking near the top. 4. Prada Galleria
Although not really considered to be a quiet luxury brand, through its history Prada has always abstained from loud logos, only using a small Prada triangle to mark their classic styles. And few things are more classic than the Prada Galleria bag, rooted in tradition, the Galleria is more than just a bag, it’s an icon. Though the bag was originally introduced in 2007, the history of the bag dates back to Prada’s humble beginnings. The bag gets its name from the “Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II”, which is where Mario Prada opened his first store in Milan in 1913.
A hallmark of Prada’s 21st century identity, the design was first offered in Saffiano leather – a scratch and water-resistant calfskin, a material patented by Mario Prada and still a hallmark of the brand today. Reminiscent of the frame-shapes and medicine-style bags popular in the mid-century, the Galleria bag references classic styles of the past and exemplifies Prada’s century-old excellence in the manufacture of leathergoods.
This bag represents everything that Prada’s DNA is rooted in.
5. Delvaux Tempête
Delvaux is so quiet luxury most people haven’t even heard about the brand! Taking its cues from the original shape first created in 1967, the Tempête offers a classic style for everyday use. The Tempête can be worn with or without its strap, allowing it to be worn in multiple ways. Of course you know Chanel, and while a lot of their pieces cannot be considered quiet luxury, this bag definitely can. The 2.55 is a reissue of the first shoulder bag designed by Coco Chanel in February of 1955. Its thoughtful design was truly for the modern woman on the go: the space in between the two internal pockets is designed to hold a single lipstick, and the back outside pocket is designed to securely hold money without opening the bag. History tells us that when she was designing this bag Coco Chanel was having an illicit affair with a married man, so she designed the zippered inner pocket so she could hide love leather in there.
This bag does not bare any logos, just a subtle Chanel marking on the hardware.
8. Ferragamo Gancini Top Handle
The Gancini is the signature Ferragamo horse shoe logo, it appeared on a handbag for the first time in 1969. Yes it is a logo but it is still quiet and, for the untrained eye, not immediately recognizable. Modern, practical and feminine, this elegant compact top handle has become a symbol of the mason.
This bag is a reissue from a classic Ferragamo model, and it is as timeless as it comes.
9. Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Snap
Bottega Veneta is the perfect example of a brand that is very well known but is still quite luxury. While basically all the other major fashion houses have flashy logos in their pieces, Bottega Veneta takes a quieter approach. Instead of a logo, Bottega signs its pieces by how they are made. Just by looking at their bags you already know where it’s from. With only an interior label, Bottega Veneta relies on its fine craftsmanship and materials to set it apart from other brands. One of the ways Bottega signs its pieces is with the classic intrecciato weave, seen here on a larger version.

It has a roomy interior compartment and a zipped pocket, as well as an adjustable strap that allows you to style it over the shoulder or crossbody.
